A Day of Fun for the Whole Family
St Christopher’s will be holding its Festive Fayre on 30 November and it promises to be the best yet. The fayre is organised by The Friends of St Chris and its aim is not only to raise money for the school but also to provide a fun-filled day out for the whole family. There is plenty to do for children and adults of all ages. Visitors to the fayre can take part in a variety of different games stalls, try their luck with tombolas and raffles, or just sit and have a cup of tea and a mince pie whilst being entertained by one of the many choirs and musical groups. For the more energetic, there will be an obstacle course set up by Tribal Fitness, and football and cricket challenge competitions. An area of the school site is given over to a wide range of different vendors, so this is also a great time for present shopping. A variety of food outlets will be selling hot and cold food, crepes and snacks throughout the day, alongside our ever-popular café. Most importantly for our younger visitors, Father Christmas will be arriving in a very special sleigh and they will be able to meet him in his grotto! The raffle promises to be a particular highlight this year, with fantastic prizes Open Destination flight tickets from Gulf Air, an iPhone 5 and Sony VAIO notebook donated by EuroMotors, iPad 3’s donated by Chevron, a Samsung LED Slim TV donated by Writer Relocations, jewellery from Al Zain and a whole host of overnight stays, dinner and brunch vouchers from all the leading hotels in Bahrain.
Doors open at St Christopher’s School, Saar campus at 11am and admittance is BD1. The fayre closes at 3pm. The Friends of St Chris are extremely grateful to all the local companies and organisations who have supported this event. In addition to the above, special thanks go to Haribo, The Royal Golf Club, Almarai, Citibank, Sofitel, Hotel Mercure, The Gulf Hotel, Movenpick, The Diplomat Radisson Blu, the Ritz Carlton and Ebrahim K Kanoo. The school looks forward to welcoming you on the day.
