Art for Peace Sake
In 2008 the non-profit organisation Peace One Day (POD) launched an international art competition and created The Peace Quilt Project. Peace One Day works to raise awareness of the United Nations International Day of Peace held annually on September 21. Schools from all over the world were invited to submit a picture that signifies peace which would be used as a part of the Peace Quilt.
This 4 year project culminated on World Peace Day 2012.
St Christopher’s School was proud to represent Bahrain in this project and submitted a drawing with the fitting title “Peace in Our Hands”.
The School was awarded this certificate in recognition of its contribution.
