Jingles in the Air
Infant music lessons went outdoors for a week; and what fun we had. The big instruments in the playground are so fantastic – we love this school!
Before going outside, Lis Holman showed the children how they could play Jingle Bells on the smaller classroom glockenspiels. Those who watched and listened carefully then managed to transfer these skills to the instruments outside. The science of sound was also part of the lesson as they worked out which notes were high and why.
We took a few extra instruments outside for extra challenges and teamwork including, of course, a few bells to accompany the Jingle Bell song.
