Bookworms, Dig In!

You may well have spotted the recent changes to the Library team which now consists of
Mrs Marie Pilgrim (Thursday and Sunday), Mrs Kiran Kotecha (Sunday – Thursday), Mrs Penny White (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and Mrs Zainab Alaali, Arabic Librarian (Sunday – Thursday). We are here to help the children choose their favourite books.
It has been great to see so many visitors during our parents and children reading time. It has been so busy but there is always space for a few more. We LOVE to see our wonderful library so busy and always welcome new faces. This session runs 7:30am – 7:55am daily.
We, the Library team, are currently looking for the Class of the Week. This will be awarded weekly to the class that returns all their books before their library session and demonstrates best behaviour during library time.
An award for the Most Read Child within the Infants and the Juniors will be announced at the end of year School Assembly. This award comes with a certificate as well as a fabulous prize. Watch this space to see the names of the winners.
We are also on the lookout for an overall Class of the Year which will be selected from Infants and Juniors and will also be announced at the end of the year Assembly.
The Baker Books catalogue was recently distributed and an amazing amount of great books were ordered totalling BD2400. Thanks to all those that bought books as it means the library will receive a donation of BD480 worth of books. Keep your eye out for the next order.
