Fast and Furious
This week, over 180 St Christopher’s pupils aged 5-14 years dived into our new indoor pool facility to compete for bronze, silver and gold medals.
Swimmers participated in heats in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, over distances of 25m and 50m. The 6 fastest swimmers gained a place in the final on Saturday 13 April. Swimmers in the category Age 10 And Over automatically swam in the finals.
The finals day began with stroke specific races, followed by the longer events of medleys and the climax of the morning came with the 100m and 200m freestyle events.
Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help and support this event and to the parents who could be heard cheering for their children. Congratulations to all the swimmers who put in an enormous amount of effort and battled it out to achieve personal best times and medals.
