Let Us Not Forget the Fallen
Konrad Sanderson, Head Boy, reports that the Remembrance Service held on Monday 11 November at the Christian Cemetery was truly moving and that it was an honour, in the presence of Ed Goodwin, Ian Fellows, Wendy Bataineh and Nick Wilson, for the Head Boy and Head Girl, Tamara Kawash, to represent the School by placing the wreath on behalf of St Christopher’s on the Memorial of those who fought and died in the Great War. Standing alongside Ambassadors and Representatives of the Armed Forces in an appropriately reflective and respectfully solemn atmosphere was a humbling atmosphere. The ceremony took place at the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month to commemorate the soldiers who gave their lives in the First World War. Fallen soldiers from all countries engaged in the War were remembered for their service. This was a highly significant occasion which both Tamara and I will never forget.
