Every Little Bit Helps
In response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan, staff and pupils across the school organised a number of fund raising events: In the Infant and Junior Schools, a Mufti Day raised nearly BD3000 to provide much needed humanitarian aid. The funds were donated to the ShelterBox organisation, which provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters. Senior School students, Ben Brandreth 7C, Hashem Ghandour 7B and Faris Muhtadi 7C completed a 30km sponsored bike ride and raised BD1000. Year 13 students organised Bake Sales, the proceeds of which when added to Mufti Day monies, raised BD1000. The willingness of the school community to rally to the call for aid is extremely heart-warming.
