Visit to Union Press
Year 12 students from Design Technology conducted an industrial visit to Union Press, Sitra, to explore the role of the graphic designer and the manufacturing processes used in the production of corporate branded items in Bahrain. Union Press are one of the leading printers in Bahrain; our students were given the opportunity to have a tour of the production line, which included Computer Aided Design, desktop publishing and of the final production of promotional products for businesses in the Kingdom. As a result of the tour, some of our students are considering Graphic Design as a career. There is little doubt that such visits can inspire students to explore the industry and potential university courses for the future and we are indebted to Union Press for their warm welcome.
