50 Students and 6 Teachers to Anzère, Switzerland
From Saturday 22 February, fifty students from St Christopher’s Junior School, joined by six of their teachers and aided by ten ski instructors, enjoyed themselves on a weeklong ski trip to Anzère, Switzerland. It was warm and cosy in the chalet, but on top of the mountain at over 2,500 metres high, the weather was crisp, clear and chilly with lots of falling snow. Thankfully, everybody had been gifted a warm and comfy fleece from Alba Aluminium to keep them warm.
Even novice skiers ended the week with a slalom race down one of the challenging red-runs. Everyone agrees that, whilst the week was physically and emotionally demanding, they had all persevered to accomplish something very special. All skiers and accompanying teachers would like to thank the Viamonde Ski instructors for their patience, skill and kindness.
