Spring Concert
The Senior School Music department hosted its annual Spring Concert on Tuesday 8 April and saw a large number of students taking part across a variety of different Ensembles and Groups. The evening was a great success with the audience enjoying performances from the Senior Choir, Orchestra, Saxophone Group, Arnold Brass, String Group, Big Band, Woodwind Group, Guitar Group and also the Cello Ensemble. A particular highlight of the evening was the Orchestra’s performance of an Arabic fusion piece composed by Yazz Ahmed, an international Jazz musician who is a former St Christopher’s student. Yazz also performed with the Orchestra for the duration of the evening and spoke to the audience about her composition intentions. Music performed by the different groups covered a diverse range of genres from Pop and Rap to Jazz and Classical. This was an excellent evening enjoyed by all where the students’ hard work and dedication to Music were evident.
