Year 3 & 4 Long Distance Swim Awards
It was an early start for some St Christopher’s Year 3 and 4 students on Friday 9 May 2014, when they entered the pool building ready to take on the long distance challenge. The competitors had set their own targets, some were hoping to achieve 400m (16 lengths), while others were determined to achieve the highest award of 5000m, (a daunting 200 lengths).
Well done to the following swimmers:
Idrees Mian Cudmore achieved 800m, Matthew Holland achieved 1000m, Shefali Sharma achieved 1500m, Mathew Portelli achieved 2000m, Tom Dermody achieved 2000m, Olivia Shepherd Smith achieved 2000m, Jacob Sum achieved 3000m, Sophia Barraclough achieved 3000m, Imogen Rushton achieved 3000m, Frankie Sutton achieved 3000m, Alice Brandreth achieved 4000m and Sophie Moir achieved 5000m.
The commitment that the swimmers showed was amazing as nobody broke the strict rules that accompany this challenge.
Well done to Hussain Al Najjar who gave up his time to come and complete some swimming practice.
