A fantastic effort was made by our children, parents and staff who all got involved baking from scratch as part of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day. TV chef, Jamie Oliver, has set up a food foundation to raise awareness about the health implications on relying on convenience food and getting children inspired to start cooking.

We had a fantastic response from our children, from Nursery up to Year 6, baking at home and bringing in to our own St Chris Food Revolution Day. Children were not only able to buy home baked goods they were also able to visit the Darcha café stand showing different Far East ingredients and a whole food display provided by Mrs Al Shehabi. The children had a great time investigating the herbs and spices table as well as testing their food knowledge on the food quiz and information stands.

It was a great to have so many children cooking at home. We are pleased to announce that we raised BD 693 for our Go Global Cambodia (United World School) appeal. The United World School is the Infant and Junior School’s nominated charity this year, which is building a school in an underdeveloped area of Cambodia. A big thank you to all the children and parents that took part and the support of the parent helpers on the day.
