On Friday 20 June, over 350 students and staff, including Guests of Honour, Principal, Mr Ed Goodwin and Mrs Wendy Bataineh, Head of Junior School, attended the stylish and elegant Summer Ball 2014 held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Following a Reception and photographs, seats were taken in the magnificent splendour of the Ballroom. The sumptuous buffet opened following welcome addresses by Head Girl, Hana Nasif and Head Boy, Milan Malik, and Head of Senior School, Mr Nick Wilson. During dinner, past and present photographs of all Year 13 students were screened. An address by Deputy Head of Senior School, Mr Steven Keeble, was followed by the presentation of Student Awards by the new Student Leadership Executive, dancing to DJ Alfie, a class set of dance moves by staff and the Exec Team to the sounds of Robbie Williams, a raffle and more dancing. The evening was a great success and was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the year and to say a fond farewell to friends leaving St Christopher’s.
