Success at F1 in Schools
St Christopher’s students represented Bahrain for the fifth year running at the World Finals of the F1 in Schools. The event was held at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. It was the tenth anniversary and was attended by thirty eight teams from all around the world. Competition was tough but St Christopher’s team ‘Gulf Speed Racing’ held their own against some much more experienced competitors. The team consisted of Sixth Form students Bassam Alalawi, Zade Alborshaid, Anirud Gupta, Houssein Nahle, Zain Husain and Jake O’Neil. They had some successful results including breaking the existing Bahrain time trial with a resounding 1.061 seconds. After all their hard work, the team had time to relax with visits to The Grand Mosque, Yas Waterworld and a Pit Walk at the Yas Marina F1 Circuit.
