Having words with the Author
We were delighted to host a visit earlier this term from prize-winning Arabic children’s books author, Fatima Sharafeddine.
Fatima has written over 120 books which have been translated into more than 14 languages. Fatima was a guest of the Spring of Culture 2016 so we took the opportunity to invite her to our school.
Students attending the native Arabic programme from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a creative educational experience on Sunday 10 April.
They giggled while listening to her read her hilarious book “Grandma Can’t Hear” and sympathised with Hala the “Jumpy Girl”.
The students were eager to interact with the author answering her questions and discussing the themes of her books and poems.
