St Chris Community … Rises to the Challenge yet AGAIN!
Another incredible amount of money raised by our St Christopher’s community to support those in need. The St Christopher’s Charity Auction has come to an end and we are pleased to announce that over BD2,200 was raised from auctioning different experiences and pieces of artwork. The raffle raised a further BD500 and our Mufti Day for Syria also raised over BD2,000. This brings our total to just shy of BD5,000 which is an incredible amount that will no doubt better the lives of many children who are suffering because of the Syrian conflict. Although we felt sad that the Charity Auction Ball did not take place, in true St Chris fashion we persevered and decided that a silent auction would still raise a considerable amount of money. A huge thank you to all the children, staff and parents who either volunteered experiences or artwork, and of course an incredible thank you to those of you who battled it out to be the final winners!
Mrs Lonsdale’s bedtime story was so popular that she kindly offered to read to the top 3 bidders, raising an incredible BD390! We hope that the artwork has all found wonderful new homes and we know that many of the experiences have already taken place. Thank you to everyone again, especially our wonderful parents who worked hard at collecting incredible raffle prizes, St Christopher’s community never fails to amaze me with their generosity, kindness and giving nature. Well done!
