The Heat is On!
Year 6 have been feeling the heat when competing in the D&T Junior Masterchef Competition. From 36 teams down to 7 semi-finalists the standard of food and presentation has been excellent this year. From seared salmon, spiced tiger prawns with goats cheese and avocado dip to homemade berry ice cream, the range of dishes has really been exceptional this year.
We were very lucky to have Chef Alfred – Executive Chef at the Movenpick and Mrs Bataineh to help judge the Finals. The winning team (Tom Roycroft, Kyla Reekie, Josh Cockerill, Matthew Holland & Jamiela Haseid) were lucky enough to a behind the scenes visit at the Movenpick, Bahrain, and visit the different sections of the kitchen.
