Visiting the Beautiful Grand Mosque
In order to further their understanding of Islam and the features of a mosque, the Year 6 children all made a visit to the Grand Mosque in Manama in the last week of September. It was very interesting and the children were treated to a tour of the mosque by members of staff there. It was great to see the inside of the mosque as it reinforced the learning they had been doing in the classroom via books and pictures. As Kiley in 6B said “I’ve never been to a mosque before and it is really interesting to see it for real.”
We would like to thank the staff of the Grand Mosque for making us all feel so welcome and for providing all of the children with a wonderful learning experience.
