Food, Fun and Celebrations!
This year’s Bahrain Day on Thursday 8 December promised to be a day of great fun for the whole school!
Events and activities were planned to recognise and celebrate the rich heritage and culture of the local area and to commemorate National Day.
Over 1000 students, from Years 1 to 6, were involved in special activities in the Arabic classrooms area which has been decorated especially for this special day. Activities included: henna, Arabic calligraphy, pottery, incense and fragrances, photo booth, falconry, ceramic painting, basket-weaving and Arabic foods.
The Senior School was festooned with flags, bunting and red and white ribbon in celebration. An impressive array of local foods tempted our students with 500 shawarmas selling out in 10 minutes! The students were entertained by music provided by the Bahrain Police Band and there were photo opportunities with two falcons. All in all, a great way to end the week.
Our heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors and volunteer parents without their support, our celebrations would not have been possible without you.
