United & Rovers Represent
United and Rovers were the St Chris representatives at the last event of the Primary Sports League season for boys. Both teams started their Indoor 5-a-side Football quite well with Rovers edging ahead in terms of determination. A simultaneous 3-0 pair of victories highlighted the effort from both teams in their separate pools. Rovers continued to build on their success and fully deserved a place in the semi-finals that unfortunately, United couldn’t match. The physical exertion that had gone into qualifying took its toll, however, as Rovers were unable to make that last step to the final. They did raise their game one more time and it was enough to earn themselves the bronze. Congratulations go out to the players involved and thanks go to Mr. Maye, Mr. Holness and Mr. Dales for their advice and time.
