Year 4 Greek Day was an Olympic success this year. The children enjoyed an enormous feast. No one has ever seen more hummus or vine leaves in Year 4 before.
Throughout the day, the Ancient Greeks were able to show off their creativity and game playing ability when they made their own coins, plates, dramatic masks and played an ancient game of stealth in their Battle Game.
The main event started with a noisy procession and opening ceremony to the 2019 Olympic Games. Everyone competed enthusiastically in the six events and the winners, Athens, were jubilant.
A great day was had by all!
