Schools for the Future
Form 7G exercised their student voices last Thursday in an exhibition which saw them present their ideal visions of schools for the future. The English department project focused on developing students’ speaking and listening skills and developing media and advertising know-how such as website creation and promotion. Four brilliant new schools were developed: LEASH, Sunset High, NASS Academy and Herrington Academy. Students built scaled models, designed uniforms, constructed timetables and produced prospectuses and were available to answer all sorts of questions from teachers and pupils alike in the exhibition. This was a truly cross-curricular project and the results were fantastic, crowned by some brilliant speeches.
