Putting the WOW Back into Team Spirit
Year 3 – A Sporting Triumph
What a great day! The children had lots of fun at the various athletic stations including an obstacle course; accuracy throwing and netball shoot out. All the children battled hard for their House team, but eventually Osprey was victorious with Falcon 2nd, Kestrel 3rd and Merlin 4th. Well done to all the children who showed great sportsmanship and team spirit!
Year 4 – “The Best Day of my Life”
The children in Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their Sports Day. “It was the best day of my life!” claimed an exhausted Freya. The day included 55m and 100m sprints and javelin throw. Anoushka said, “I enjoyed sports day and I think everybody worked hard”. The day was an unparalleled success! The winning House of this round was Falcon! Kestrel came 2nd , Osprey 3rd and Merlin 4th. Congratulations to all our young athletes, who persevered and gave their all!
Year 5 & 6 – The Ultimate Sporting Event
After many months of training in their PE lessons the Year 5 and 6 athletes were finally ready to take to the track, hoping to emulate the heroes of the London 2012 games. We may have discovered some future Olympians! All competitors displayed their prowess in many different track and field disciplines. Callum said “ It was the best day of the century “ whilst Charlotte noted that “she loved the relays”. After 3 hours hard work, the eventual winners were Falcon followed by Merlin 2nd , then Kestrel 3rd and Osprey 4th . A superb effort Year 5 and 6, well done!
