Up for a Laugh?
Amal Ahmed reports “It’s that time of year again where goodbyes are said and universities for the Upper Sixth Form are just beyond the horizon. Even with Year 11 students experiencing the challenge of GCSEs and the Sixth Form students finishing off their A-level examinations, the students still managed to organise the Leavers’ Assembly which presented a humorous review of life at St Chris over recent times. The occasion kicked off with St Christopher’s student band F.A.I.L., followed by different skits capturing the memorable moments of the school year. Clara, Amy and Haajera performed a trio mash-up of ‘Dog Days Are Over’ by Florence and the Machine and ‘Feel Again’ by One Republic. The assembly was an entertaining afternoon where students watched their peers and their teachers perform and enjoy the light-hearted acts. I am sure everyone will remember the unexpected ’50 Fils’ rendition by SMT’s very own Mr Keeble. Afterwards, the Year 11 and Year 13 students joined their teachers and went to a well-deserved end of year lunch”.
