Enjoying Tradition and Grandeur
On September 25 and 26, Year 6 children enjoyed a trip to the Grand Mosque. Whilst there, they had the opportunity to see first hand some of the things they had learned about in their RE lessons. “I really enjoyed the trip because the tour guide was excellent”, said Joel Watts in 6A. The guide explained Islamic architecture and the design of the Mosque in detail and the children enjoyed the day as well as gaining a greater insight into the role of the Mosque in Islamic society. Louis Mulleague said that he especially liked it when he was taught how to perform the prayer sequence.
