A Riviera of Love

From the lengthy weekend rehearsals to the after school practices, the dedication shown by those involved in the School Production of The Boyfriend this winter term, was impressive from start to finish. The costumes that were made by our very own Jan Wheeler and her fantastic team perfectly captured the 20’s theme that surrounded the musical. The Art department collaborated with the DT department to craft the classic set that depicted the French Riviera. This enhanced the performance and encouraged the audience to immerse themselves in the storyline.

The cast, which ranged from Year 7 to Year 13, all performed to an excellent standard. The hours spent together, not only allowed them to improve their performance ability, but they had the chance to create new friends from all different ages. The performances, which were spread out across four days allowed us to improve every night! Mrs Beck created and taught the fast paced choreography for the massive musical numbers, which were enjoyed by audience members of all ages.

The Boyfriend was a fantastic way to end the term and will live for a long time in the memories of those who took part. We would like to thank our sponsors for their support:
