We are delighted to announce that Zaid Al Alawi and Basel Sayed Al Sharaf are recipients of the prestigious Crown Prince’s International Scholarship. This is an exceptional achievement on their part which they fully merit. The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) was established in 1999 by HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Bahrain’s brightest secondary school graduates are selected on merit to receive this scholarship. The selection criteria include SAT and IELTS scores, Grade Point Average (GPA), and results of training programs organized by the CPISP. The Program awards 10 fully funded scholarships each year, to the brightest, most dedicated and most motivated secondary school students, providing them the opportunity to study at top international universities and colleges. The annual scholarship recipients include 5 young men and 5 young women from both private and governmental secondary schools. Scholarship recipients choose their own majors and universities that they gain acceptance from, and are not required to return to Bahrain to work after graduation. Graduates are encouraged to follow their desired career paths and pursue employment opportunities in Bahrain and the global arena, where they receive international work experience and exposure.
