The season began with a very comfortable victory over a talented but disorganised MKS team. We then had a much tougher victory, a 10 – 8 away win against the well-coached British School. This was followed by two relatively straightforward victories against IKNS and RVIS, both at home. Our final League match was against the very athletic Bahrain School and resulted in our one and only loss, meaning we finished second in the League. Fortunately, our chance for revenge was not too long away, as we faced them in the Tournament the very next day. This time, despite starting with only four players on the court, we managed to pip them by two points. It was a fantastic display of aggressive defence followed by some fine shooting. After this victory, the rest of the Tournament was a mere formality. We clinically dispatched the other teams to win the overall Tournament. A special mention must go to a few players, most notably Rawan Al Saegh for her excellent leadership and all round play. She easily won Player of the Season. Melinda Legg also deserves a mention for her excellent shooting in the Tournament. Olivia Wilson also stepped up to help out very successfully and Megan Docherty, Most Improved Player, rushed straight from an examination to help us win. Tamara Kawash’s commitment and fitness were also invaluable. Finally a big thank you to Mr Vaughan and Coach Melissa for giving up their time and expertise.  Thank you!

Full Squad: Rawan Al Saegh, Martina Goubran, Yasmine Makkiyah, Megan Docherty, Basma Al Hashimi, Tamara Kawash, Trisha Kalia, Kirsty Coyle, Melinda Legg, Apoorva Sethuraman, Olivia Wilson.
