Swimming at The National Pool

On the 24January, a team from St Christopher’s Sharks competed in the BSA Gala at the National Pool in Isa Town. Due to unforeseen circumstances the planned two day event had to be condensed into just one day, which left the swimmers exhausted. The younger swimmers did especially well, particularly since they were so nervous before their events.

Highlights of the day came from Florence Tinsley, who came 1st in the 50m breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke and the 100m breaststroke. Ayse Atak, was placed 1st in the 50m and 100m backstroke. Amalie Nielsen was 1st in the 100m breaststroke.

Many other swimmers obtained silver or bronze medals and personal best times, they also demonstrated just how much they have improved this year, helped by their hard work and vigorous training. Also from the guidance and encouragement from Yavor and our coaching team. Huge congratulations to all who competed and made the day a fun and enjoyable one.
