Starting the Holidays on a High

HseAssem1

After a very busy term, the House assembly was just what we all needed to relax and get into the spirit of the holiday! The House Captains got us in the mood with some fun dancing down the aisle including some pretty amazing spinning from Osprey’s Adam. The Infant Sports Days were celebrated, as was the Year 5 and 6 Swimming Galas, Maths Week and the Inter-House Sports that have all taken place this term. Videos of each were shown and as the results were displayed at the end of each event the audience erupted into to great applause and cheering.

It wouldn’t be a House Assembly without getting the staff to pit their wits against each other, and this term the theme was Infant Sports Days. It’s always fun to see the Mums and Dads having a go at the activities so this time we took some of the events and put them together in the form of a unique obstacle course. SPARTA’s coaches, Simon for Falcon, Laura for Kestrel and Dan for Merlin went head to head with Mrs Little representing Osprey. It was great fun to see them cycle down on the Nursery trikes before leaping on stage to bounce on the space-hoppers, coordinate their movements on the green machines, and balance a very large egg (beachball) on a small spoon before launching it into the air for the House Captains to catch in their House flag! With a very competitive bunch, it was Kestrel’s Laura who came out on top! Well done to everyone! It was a fantastic way to start the Spring holidays!
