Bring on the Fun!

Nursery and Reception Sports Day 2017

Nursery and Reception had a fantastic time in their Sports Days this term. The weather brightened up and winter woolies were stripped off to enable the children to show off their sporting prowess. The parents were very impressed with the progression in their gross-motor skills and excitedly had a go at the activities themselves! The children proved to be fantastic at kicking the football in the goal; scoring baskets; aiming at the bowling pins and targets; negotiating the obstacle course; bouncing on the space hoppers and maneuvering the green machine!

Well done to everyone! Keep up the good work in your PE lessons!

Year 1 & 2 Sports Day 2017

Year 1 and 2 showed great success at this year’s Sports Day! They displayed an amazing array of skills and scored lots of points at each activity, showing their parents how far they have progressed in PE. This year, a challenge line was added at some of the events. This enabled children to show their parents that they are not afraid to challenge themselves and strike at the target from further away. Most children took the challenge and showed that they are doing really well in PE!

The parents showed that they haven’t lost their touch either, getting stuck into the activities while the scores were being counted.

Year 1 results:
Kestrel scored the most goals at the football activity.  Falcon scored the most baskets in basketball.  Merlin proved the most successful in the hockey event.  Osprey were great at aiming the ball at the target and gained the most points in the Ball Throw activity.

The final results were:

1st place and trophy winners – Falcon
2nd place – Osprey
