What Did the Romans Ever Do for Us?

A question on the lips of many of us as we began our topic about The Romans. And what better way to launch our new topic than through one of our favourite dress-up days: Roman Day. With every man, woman or child, suitably attired, we enjoyed a fun day of learning – dressing our own Roman soldiers, creating clay tiles and conducting our own research into the Roman Empire. Of course, the day would not have been complete without a sumptuous feast, and food – authentic or otherwise – was certainly not lacking. This exciting day finished off with a lot of tired little Romans almost falling asleep in our very own movie theatre. A fine day was had by all and nobody was thrown to the lions.
