After weeks of trials and training, 24 students and 4 teachers set of for Cranleigh School Abu Dhabi, to take part in the U15 BSME Games. Day one was tough for the Boys Volleyball team and 8th place out of 13 teams was a fair result. The Girls Football team, however, absolutely shone. Undefeated through pool play, they held their nerve and composure to win both their semi-final and final; with an extra-time goal to Gracie Nahl! Day two meant athletics at New York University. Whilst we did not medal, many athletes got into finals and achieved personal bests on a fine day of competition. Day three was boys football and girls netball. Despite aching bodies, once more, both teams gave their all, working really hard for each other. It was an excellent three days of competition and the pupils were rightly proud of their 6th place, in the premier school sporting event in the Middle East. Outside of the sport, the behaviour and attitude were excellent. The host school put on an event that will last long in the memory of all those who took part.

Final Score: 6th place
