Last week, all Year One children were subjected to a day of Victorian education. Normally caring, sensitive and cheerful teachers became stern, strict and unforgiving (of even the smallest behavioural or academic misdemeanours). Whilst the children and teachers enjoyed the day, everyone is agreed that this style of teaching cannot be maintained for very long and we much prefer school nowadays!
“It was really hard to be strict and mean all day long….but I tried my best” said Mrs Welch.
